Silk Thread

How does the night get darker?
In just a moment
In just the slightest beat of a heart
Laughing one minute
How does the hole get deeper?
Centuries of moments pass
Heartbeats and breaths innumerable
Feathers turn white, fall out
How could I bleed anymore?
Wings fall off
Nails rake across the scarred and healed
Breaking the bones
This pain
ever with me
ever near.
A silk thread
'round my heart
slacked most times.
Tied to the bottom of the hole.
Looped 'round the moment.
Knotted to the flesh in the wound.
Pull the silk thread and
bring the darkness,
dig the hole,
draw the blood.

Help

Anna,
Very moving, quite powerful. I love the image of a soft gentle small thread doing such damage, like rain water eroding a mountain. I love it.
pick up thy plumage and hold them to the Winds.
those that return to you — dye peacock Rainbows.
re-Insert.
